Take the faucet out and clean the place where the faucet sat. Removing an old kitchen faucet is simply a matter of disconnecting the faucets hot and cold water supply lines and unscrewing the nuts that hold the faucet in place. In addition remove the caulking or putty from the sink surface by using the putty knife.
